Stick Guys Defense is a browser-based strategy game focused on lane defense and unit placement where the player protects a base from continuous enemy waves. The session begins with a fixed battlefield layout and limited resources, pushing the player to make fast decisions about where and when to deploy stick-based defenders. Each unit type performs a specific role, such as dealing damage, slowing enemies, or blocking paths, and the player actively manages placements as pressure increases. Enemy waves grow stronger and more frequent over time, forcing constant adjustments rather than static setups. The difficulty scales through enemy health, speed, and numbers, encouraging experimentation with different defensive patterns. Engagement comes from balancing resource spending, reacting to breakthroughs, and recovering from mistakes without restarting the session. Every action directly affects survival time, making positioning and timing the core of moment-to-moment gameplay.
The objective is to stop enemy stick units from reaching and damaging the player’s base. The player succeeds by eliminating waves efficiently while preserving base health for as long as possible. Failure occurs when enemies break through defenses and deplete the base’s remaining health, ending the session.
Stick Guys Defense runs as a single-mode experience built around continuous wave progression. Instead of traditional levels, the game increases difficulty through successive enemy waves that introduce tougher units and higher spawn rates. Progress depends on how long the player maintains effective defenses within the same session.

The session starts immediately on a single battlefield with enemies approaching along fixed paths. The player selects defensive units from a side menu and places them along these routes to intercept enemies. As waves advance, the player earns resources by defeating attackers and uses them to place new units or upgrade existing ones. The player repeatedly watches enemy movement, reacts to weak points, and adjusts placements when defenses fail. Enemies that slip through reduce base health, increasing tension with each mistake. Progression comes from surviving longer, managing resources efficiently, and adapting strategies as enemy pressure increases. The game ends when the base can no longer withstand incoming enemies.
