Hole Io is a browser-based multiplayer arcade game focused on real-time area absorption and competitive growth. You control a moving hole on a city map and consume surrounding objects to increase your size while competing against other players. The session begins with small items scattered across the map, and you actively steer the hole to swallow benches, cars, street objects, and eventually larger structures. As your hole grows, the playable options expand, creating a steady difficulty curve driven by player size and map control. Larger opponents pose constant threats, forcing careful movement and positioning. Each match runs on a short timer, encouraging aggressive play and quick decision-making. Score rankings update live, keeping pressure on the player to optimize movement and object selection. The core engagement comes from balancing risk, avoiding larger holes, and racing to dominate space before time expires.
The objective is to grow your hole larger than competing players before the match timer ends. You increase your score by consuming objects and smaller opponents. Getting absorbed by a larger hole ends your progress in the current round. Success depends on reaching a top leaderboard position when the session concludes.
The game runs in a single continuous multiplayer mode. Each session places multiple players on the same map with identical starting conditions. There are no traditional levels; progression happens through size growth and live competition within a fixed time limit.

PC Controls:
Left Mouse Click (Hold) + Drag = Move the black hole
Mobile Controls:

The session starts immediately after loading, placing your hole onto a shared city map. You drag to move and begin absorbing small objects scattered around the area. You repeatedly navigate toward clusters of items while avoiding larger holes controlled by other players. As your size increases, you gain the ability to consume bigger objects and eventually rival players. Colliding with a larger hole causes instant failure for the round. The match continues under a visible countdown timer, pushing constant movement and decision-making. Progression depends on efficient pathing, quick reactions, and controlling safe zones on the map. When time expires, the game ranks all players based on size, ending the session.
